JVC VICTOR V-Saturn RG-JX1 [Long Box]
This is the very first edition of the Victor (Japanese name for JVC) Saturn. Victor supplied the CD-ROM drive for the Saturn, but also had a license agreement with Sega. This meant that they, just like Hitachi, could `release` their own version of the Saturn. Yamaha had a similar deal, but never released a version of their own.
This version has a second LED on the front display showing “access” of the CD. This is the first version Victor Saturn (V-Saturn for short). The RG-JX1 as it was named, features a two-tone grey colour with a black panel around the on/off and reset buttons. These were oval, just like the first grey Sega produced Saturns. The unit features "V-Saturn” on the top of the machine, a name that later repeats itself in the boot up screen. The version shown here is the version with a rectangular box. Includes one controller (also marked Victor), instructions and all hook-ups.
