Ingen tråd om denne potentielle "Halo/F.E.A.R./Crysis/Gears Of War/Bioshock"-beater (den sætning sætter vist dagsordenen for en senere debat? :))? That's just not right :) På den anden side synes jeg det er dejligt at spillet ikke er blevet hypet til døde (ikke herinde i hvert fald :)).
Det jeg håber og tror der gør Clive Barker's Jericho til en - måske også for FPS-genren - anderledes, forfriskende spiloplevelse er at gyserforfatteren/multikunstneren Clive Barker har haft en betydelig finger med i at udforme spillet. Mere end han havde med det anmelderroste
Undying (der desværre solgte elendigt).
Og så synes jeg det er fedt, at udvikleren har valgt at fokusere udelukkende på en mere inddragende singleplayer-oplevelse, end at tilføje en måske ufuldkommen multispiller-del (hvor Halo 3 jo sikkert tager al opmærksomheden alligevel).
Jeg har spillet en 75% færdig previewkode til pc lidt, og er specielt betaget af spillets quicktime-elementer. Man er fx ved at falde ned ad en skrænt og skal time nogle tryk på retningstasterne for at kravle op. Tilsvarende "minispil" aktiveres, når man står overfor visse fjender.
Så skader det heller ikke, at Cris Velasco (
God Of War) laver musik til spillet.
