Mega Jet

The Mega Jet was released in 1994, to be used on Japanese airlines. It would plug into an LCD screen that folded from the armrest, or was placed on the back of the neck-wrest of the person sitting in front of you. Four games was released for the Mega Jet, including Sonic The Hedgehog and Super Monaco GP. The Mega Jet was also available in limited quantities in department stores, marketed in Japan as a portable Mega Drive. However, without a screen, this never proved too popular. It was first when the portable version of the Genesis (the american Mega Drive) - called the Nomad was released, that portable 16 bit Sega gaming was really possible.
