 The iQue was an attempt by Nintendo, to decrease the level of piracy in Hong Kong and China. By releasing a cheap, but fairly powerful, console - and making "sure" that the games could not be copied (as you had to download the games from iQue kiosks), Nintendo believed that this would decrease the level of piracy. |
