The 2nd Anniversary Pure White Limited Edition was limited to 1,000 units. Consumers could, as a bonus, chose to engrave up to 20 letters in the console's casing, although Japanese letters were not permitted. The retail price for this very limited edition was 19,800 yen ($180). It could only be ordered through the official Xbox Japan Web site from January 30 to February 6.

The package came with a matching white controller, DVD kit, and an Xbox live starter kit (with 12 months subscription included)
