Nordic Game, 15-16 maj i Malmø, Sverige:

The Death of Game Journalism?

Panel Debate at Nordic Game discusses the future of
game coverage.

Stupid fan boys blindly promoting PR-bullshit or a new breed of serious journalism and cultural criticism?

The panel discussion will focus on the current state of game journalism in Europe and its future prospects for the games industry.

Is European game journalism just to be considered cheap publicity for game publishers and ignored by the mainstream media? Or should computer games be regarded the same way as the more established cultural criticism of movies, music or books - and how?

Is it at all possible to conduct serious and independent coverage of computer games in such a market driven industry?

The panel consists of influential game journalists from Europe and the host is Thomas Vigild, Game Editor at Politiken, Denmark.
