On Wednesday, October 11, Florida's Third Court of appeal decided to review the game Bully to determine if it was a "public nuisance." This ruling was unprecedented, and the Judge was apparently willing to witness "up to or more than 100 hours" of the game before making his ruling. In the end, however, it took only a relatively short gaming session, taking place over only a handful of hours.
The Judge ruled today that he will not restrict sales of Bully in any way. This decision will apparently not be appealed, as court proceedings would not conclude before the game's release next week. This ruling comes at the heels of an injunction against a law in Oklahoma that would restrict the sale of violent videogames to minors.
