A round-up of this week's Japanese gaming magazines on the gigantic Japanese BBS 2Channel revealed that Tecmo is planning a "Dead or Alive Online" title that features remakes of the first and second games. The first one in particular is said to look considerably better (for obvious reasons)
The disc will support Xbox Live, but the price and release date are not yet confirmed
This week's "Dorimaga" featured commentary from Tecmo's Itagaki-shi, who announced his plans to make a sequel to DOAX. He also claimed that he would be "making it completely by himself," which probably means that he'll be overseeing every aspect of the production of the game
In the "uwasa/rumor corner" section of the same issue of "Dorimaga," there was speculation that the Xbox would indeed be rendered into a more compact form that may be called "Xbox Lite"
Other rumors included the retail giant Walmart dropping the GC, and that the new prices of the consoles following the upcoming rumored price drop would be PS2 $150, GC $99, and Xbox $149. A rumor is also circulating that the PS2 will be redesigned into a more compact form as well and will be released at the end of the year for $99
This week's Dorimaga had a ton of coverage, apparantly -- other cool news: Capcom announed that a new Street Fighter title commerating the 15th anniversary of the series this year will enter the planning stages soon, as well as a seperate sequel title
Sega's Naka (Yuuji)-shi, Koguchi-shi and Suzuki (Yuu)-shi announed that if Shenmue 3 is to be made, it will include the remaining 16 chapters of the story. If Sega gives the go ahead sign on development it will be made with the priority on breaking even on the project
